We think the little man is finally learning to sleep through the night!Sean actually slept from 10pm to 4am, which for him is awesome. We are hopeful that he will continue to sleep well - we really miss our sleep.
The biggest news today was the sale of my St Leonards apartment. The contracts were signed and exchanged today, and with any luck, settlement will take place on 20 May. We didn't quite get the price we wanted, but we were so close to the magic figure. It would have been irresponsible to reject the final offer because it was $2,000 short of what I had really wanted.
Gabi and Sveta did their bits, and by close of business, we were all set to clean out the apartment by 20 May. There were still a few things left in the apartment, which we had been meaning to go and clear out, but for some reason, I couldn't bring myself to completely move out of it. It had been my home for 10 years, and I wanted to take as long as I needed to bid my farewells.
Another piece of good news came by way of Jonathan, who had booked a test drive for us with Volvo for next Thursday. We were pretty keen on the XC60, so we are very much looking forward to taking the car for a spin.
So much news. I'm excited but apprehensive at the same time. New home and new baby meant that inevitably, I was going to have to get a new car and sell my old home to fund some of this. But saying goodbye to my past was making me melancholy. Still, we must look forward, and not back, and move on, even if a part of me is screaming "I don't want to let go, I don't want to change".
