Go, little man, go!The shopping trip last night must have worn Sean out, for he slept until just before 5.30am before waking. That's nearly 7 hours!!! Could it be? Could this be the start of something really beautiful? Could I soon be looking forward to uninterrupted sleep again?
Have I just jinxed myself by saying all this???
For most of the day, Sean ran like clockwork. The little man wanted to be fed every 3 hours, and slept relatively well throughout the day. After the 5.30am feed, Sean fed at 8.30am, 11.50am, and then again at 3.40pm. After each of the morning feeds, the little man was a bit unsettled afterwards and getting him to sleep was a bit more difficult than usual, but after some persuasion, Sean did sleep.
Sean was quite fussy during the 3.40pm feed, which was not good for us as I had an appointment to meet with the very lovely Gabi from Elders Neutral Bay to look at our St Leonards apartment at 4.30pm. Gabi was referred to us by our good friend Kerrie, with whom she had enjoyed a long standing professional relationship. Gabi was meeting us at the apartment to look at the property with a view to listing the property and organising an open house as soon as possible.
Of course, because Sean was fussing about, we were a little bit late. Thankfully, Gabi didn't mind too much by the time we eventually showed up at 4.40pm. When I made the appointment with Gabi, I had made him aware that Sean dictated time these days, and I alluded that we may be late. Gabi, himself a father of 2 strapping boys (one of whom - Jonathan - was with him today), understood.
Gabi, Jonathan, Sean and I went up to the apartment and had a look around. We then talked about the advertising campaign and what I would need to provide should I decide to use Elders as my listing agent. Gabi and Jonathan were so personable and helpful that I was happy to sign with them on the spot.
As a couple of parties had expressed an interest to purchase the property prior to my contact with Gabi, I mentioned the same to him and asked him what I needed to do about these parties. Gabi said it would be best for me to try and finalise these discussions before making any commitments with any agent to sell the apartment. I agreed it was the best course of action and made a note to contact the parties over the weekend, and then to contact Gabi on Monday with an update.
The meeting lasted nearly an hour, and by the time we left, I was sold on Gabi acting as the selling agent for the apartment. I just needed to contact the interested parties and see if they are still keen on buying the property.
Jonathan was staying back in the city for some after work farewell drinks for one of his colleagues, so Sean and I headed to Dad and Mum's for dinner. Sean had a feed before we started dinner, so I was able to enjoy Dad's fine cooking without any interruptions.
We finished dinner just as Jonathan was finishing up with his farewell drinks, so we drove into the city to collect Jonathan before heading home.
Sean did not appreciate the extra long car trip and exercised his lungs throughout the entire trip. Sean was also ready for a feed by the time we arrived homed, so we sat down to a long and relaxing feed the minute we walked in the door. After a nice long bath with Jonathan, Sean finished his feed before going to bed.
We have a jam packed weekend ahead of us, with Adrian coming to stay, and a dinner party tomorrow night, before Mina comes for her weekly visit on Sunday. Looking forward to all the fun and frivolity!
