Being Momma G: Day 86

It was a busy day today, with no time to grieve for my lost tooth.

Jonathan was very sweet and made sure he got in contact with the Tooth Fairy for me. I found a dollar under my pillow - but not just any dollar - it was his American Silver Dollar. My darling husband is so gorgeous - this gesture made me smile. I wasn't even aware he'd put the dollar under my pillow under he asked whether I'd checked if the Tooth Fairy had paid me a visit!

Sean continued to sense something was off with me, and he had a little bit of an off night himself, waking up at 2am and 4.30am. He was good enough to go back to sleep after those dream feeds, and when he woke again just before 8.30am, I got out of bed and gave him a feed in the armchair.

There was outdoor furniture to be put together today, so Jonathan put on his "handyman" cap and got busy with the tools. Don't we all love flat-pack furniture?!

Sean napped while Jonathan put together our tables and chairs, and after he woke, we headed out to Birkenhead Point to visit Spotlight, and to have lunch while we were there.

It was a lovely afternoon of shopping. We went to Spotlight and wound up buying a sewing machine. Yes, a sewing machine. I now owned a sewing machine. Not sure what I was going to do with it, but I now owned a sewing machine. We bought some cotton jersey fabric for us to use on Sean as wraps to keep his arms contained while he slept. After spending up big in Spotlight, we headed to Cotton On Kids to look for some winter clothes for Sean.

We had been given so many pieces of clothing for Sean, but most of them were summer bodysuits. As we were heading into winter, we needed a few pieces of clothing that had long sleeves. We found a few cute things in Cotton On Kids, and amazingly, once we got to the check out, it came to $10! Bargain!

We came home after our shopping expedition, and Sean finally had some lunch. We spoke with Mum on Skype in the afternoon, and she seemed very excited with her impending visit. Certainly, Jonathan and I were very excited with the prospect of having Mum and Nana stay with us for a week, and after a short chat, we waved Mum goodbye and looked forward to seeing her on Wednesday.

The little man woke for a feed just after our dinner, and then again just before 9pm. After going through the rigmarole of the night time routine, Sean went to sleep happy.

Jonathan is going to be working from home this week, with the exception of Wednesday when he will be working from the office. It will be nice to have him at home with us this week, especially since Mum and Nana arrive on Wednesday, and he will be able to spend more time with them when working from home. 3 more sleeps till they get here! Woot!
