Day +52: Shopping Day!

Sean and I went shopping today. Can I get a woop woop?

After Dr Trahair relaxed the terms of isolation yesterday, I decided that Sean and I needed to go for a small shopping trip to get some new clothes for winter. Sean had outgrown all of his old winter clothes, and desperately needed a few more things to wear, especially outfits for going out. We had plenty of leggings and pants, and a couple of jackets, but no long sleeve tops. Today, that would all change.

Jonathan had arranged to work from Ermington every Friday for the foreseeable future, so we got out of bed early and had breakfast before dropping him at work. We headed straight to Macquarie Centre afterwards for our shopping extravaganza.

We went to Target to start our shopping trip. There were so many clothes, and I had to restrain myself from going overboard. I picked out about 7 tops before refining my choices to 3, and I picked up 5 pairs of pants before paring back to 2. We walked around a bit more, and I found a couple of long sleeve undershirts for Sean as well. With the weather becoming colder, I thought they would be good to wear under some of his short sleeved jumpsuits and create a layered look.

I tried on a couple of things for myself, but nothing really took my fancy, and since I'd already picked out so many pieces of clothing for Sean, I decided it was time to leave before I completely blew the budget. We paid for our items and headed up to Big W to have a look at their range.

Sean needed some more "at home" clothes, and Big W had some great bargains on their sweatshirts. I picked up another sweatshirt for Sean, before heading up to Woolworths to buy some more jars and pouches of food for Sean.

We had a very successful shopping trip, and Sean was now the proud owner of a new winter wardrobe. We got home in time for Sean to have a nap in his own cot, which was much better than a 15 minute kip in the pram.

A surprise was waiting for us when we got home. The postie had tried to deliver a package to us while we were out, and there was a card stuck in our door to let us know the parcel was now down at West Ryde Post Office for us to collect. So, in the afternoon, we left the house a bit earlier on our way to collect Jonathan, so we could stop in at the Post Office to collect our parcel.

The parcel was from my old work buddy Michelle and her family, now living in Perth. The parcel was a gift for Sean, and he loved the Wiggles musical instruments! Sean had a great time playing with his new toys.

New clothes AND new toys. What an exciting day for Sean! I had a most enjoyable shopping trip too, and look forward to many more with my well behaved little man in the near future.
