TGIF!!!
Today was a much much better day. Sean was feeling better, behaving better, and eating better. I was so thankful for this lift in his mood. I wasn't sure how much more of his bad moods I could take.
Sean wasn't so clingy today, and was actually able to play by himself and exploring the wonders of his toys without getting upset with the littlest setbacks. I was actually able to get on with the things I needed to do without having to carry a baby on my hip or having a pair of hands tugging down my tracksuit pants.
Not only was Sean in a better mood, he was also eating a lot better. Sean ate faster, and the portions of food were bigger too. And he discovered a new love - Tiny Teddy biscuits. As a reward for eating his meals, I gave him 4 to 5 Tiny Teddies as a treat. And Sean loved them.
Being Friday, we drove Jonathan to work. I think Jonathan was quietly pleased he was getting driven to work, as it meant he was able to sleep in a little this morning. We headed up to the shops at Top Ryde after leaving Jonathan at his office, as we had numerous errands to run. I needed to get our watches fixed - both of our good watches needed new batteries, and Jonathan wanted to know if the watch maker could polish his most cherished watch. The lovely lady at the shop was very chatty, and her friendliness and conversation left a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
Next task was to collect my trial pair of contact lenses. The lenses had been sitting with the optometrist for some time now, but with Sean's unexpected stay in hospital, today was the first chance I'd had to collect them. It will be nice to try the new lenses to see if they are more suited to my eyes.
Last but not least, we took a spin through both Big W and Woolworths. We probably should have given both shops a wide berth - we came away with much more stuff than we needed.
Sean's mood continued to lift during the day. It really was a joy to see my little man return to his happy self, instead of that whingy clingy boy when he wasn't well.
Before long, it was time to head to collect Jonathan from work. Jonathan's work friend Craig popped his head out to say hello to us, which was lovely. Craig is such a lovely fellow, always ready with a smile and a friendly chat. During our chat, I invited Craig over to our house for dinner, to which he happily accepted, so I can now look forward to cooking a lovely meal for Craig in a fortnight's time.
Thank goodness for a much better day. Hopefully, this continues through the rest of the weekend.
